All-new Renault Clio E-Tech is launched

25th November 2020 | Steve Lumley

The new Renault Clio E-Tech a great hybrid choice as a contract hire vehicle - here we explain why.

This is the new Renault Clio E-Tech which is an impressive hybrid to consider if you're looking for an environmentally friendly car leasing opportunity.

It joins the carmaker's growing list of electrified cars which now includes the new Captur and the Zoe.

The Clio E-Tech uses two electric motors, along with a powerful lithium-ion battery and a 1.6-litre petrol engine.

The result is fuel economy of 64mpg and the ability to travel in all-electric mode for up to 30 miles.

Renault Clio E-Tech will use 40% less fuel

The carmaker says that the Renault Clio E-Tech will use 40% less fuel than the standard Clio.

The car is also capable of travelling in electric mode for up to 80% of its journeys.

That's a very attractive prospect for company car drivers along with a Benefit-in-Kind (BIK) rate of 22%.

The new Clio E-Tech hybrid also comes with a comprehensive five-year warranty - and there's unlimited mileage for the car's first two years.

It helps too that the battery comes with an eight-year warranty.

New platform has been designed to be electrified

The Clio hybrid features a new platform which has been designed to be electrified from the beginning.

This means there is no big battery intruding into the boot or the cabin, and the car has been designed to perform just as well as a petrol or diesel counterpart.

The Launch Edition trim of the new Clio E-Tech features an enhanced interior and new exterior paints.

Along with using premium materials, the new Clio features the latest technology, including an easy-to-use 9.3-inch touchscreen.

Clio E-Tech hybrid is a great car leasing choice

And it's not just the excellent powertrain that makes the Renault Clio E-Tech hybrid a great car leasing choice, it's also for the equipment levels.

Owners also get ambient lighting, a digital instrument display and a customisable centre panel in a variety of colour choices.

Driver assistance systems include a Level II autonomous driving aid, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and traffic sign recognition.

There's also an active emergency braking system that will operate when it detects a pedestrian or cyclist in the car's path.

Some models also come with a rearview camera, wireless smartphone charging and an easy parking system.

Prices for the new Renault Clio E-Tech hybrid start at £19,595 OTR and it is available to order now - it's also worth looking at how much the new Clio hybrid contract hire deal will cost as well.
