The new Fiat Tipo Cross is a new model and a great car leasing choice.
This is the new Fiat Tipo Cross which is slightly taller than the standard Tipo and has a chunkier SUV-look.
In addition, Fiat has also revealed that it has revamped its Tipo line-up.
The new Tipo Cross will be competing against the likes of the Volkswagen T-Roc in what is a keenly fought segment.
Essentially, Fiat is following in the footsteps of other carmakers who have taken a family hatchback and turned it into a stylish SUV crossover.
There's a lot to like with the new design lines, and there are similarities with the recent revealing of the Fiat Panda Cross city car, which received similar styling.
The Fiat Tipo Cross contract hire crossover has a front bumper with a skid plate, and there's a silver contrasting trim and a mesh grille.
There are also attractive side skirts beneath the Tipo Cross's doors.
The roof bars are fitted as standard on the estate version and along with larger tyres, the suspension has also been adapted to deliver a comfortable ride around town.
Like many crossovers, this Fiat offering has been designed for on-road performance - which is a shame since Fiat does offer decent off-roaders such as the Panda.
Fiat says its new Cross styling will give the Tipo a 'distinctive new look' and at 70mm taller it has done just that.
As mentioned, the Fiat Tipo range has also been refreshed, and this is the first major update for the Tipo since it was unveiled four years ago.
Fiat says the restyling offers a 'an elegant and dynamic look' for a car that is not a big seller in the UK.
That's a shame because it is a spacious and decent performing car that is a great choice for families.
The Tipo also makes for an excellent motorway cruiser.
The changes for the new Tipo include new bumpers, new LED headlights and a redesigned grille that features the new Fiat logo.
There's also a configurable 7-inch display panel that replaces the car's old analogue gauges and dials.
Fiat has also added a new steering wheel to the Tipo so the instrument display can be viewed more easily.
The interior for the Tipo has also been reworked to be a more stylish offering, and it is better than the previous model.
The full spec for the UK models of the Fiat Tipo Cross as a car leasing choice has yet to be revealed, as have the prices.
However, the new Tipo Cross goes on sale in November when these facts and figures, plus details about the engines, will be released.
Green Cars’ is the term used for zero, low and ultra-low emission vehicles (ULEVs) - with pressure being applied to lower global emission levels, the need for “eco-friendly” vehicles is on the rise. Many countries now have plans in place to abolish the use of combustion engines before the turn of the century and so more and more vehicles we see on the roads will be Electric, hybrid or very low emission petrol and diesels.
Although beneficial to the environment, ‘Green Cars’ are also beneficial from a taxation view. The lower a vehicle’s emissions banding, the lower the taxation placed against it. Many manufacturers have tapped in to this ever-growing market with their own offerings, however, Volvo were the first manufacturer to state that every one of their models will be either electric or hybrid options from 2019.
