The Seat Ateca, whether to lease or buy, is available now - and it impresses.
Prices and spec for the new Seat Ateca have been revealed with more standard equipment in the new compact SUV that is available to order now.
With added technology and a refined design, the new Ateca has boosted its driver appeal.
Also, the new offering has a lower price than the model it replaces with the SE Technology, as well as the Xperience and Xperience Lux all being cheaper.
There's also a new Cupra Ateca - the fast and sporty version - with an engine delivering 300 PS and an all-wheel-drive system.
The entry-level Seat Ateca has a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine and a manual gearbox, and it costs from £23,650 OTR, while the Cupra Ateca costs from £39,050.
The most popular Ateca looks set to be the 1.5-litre TSI unit developing 150 PS in the SE Technology trim.
Not only is this cheaper than the previous model, it also includes wireless charging and connected navigation.
The Xperience trim replaces the Xcellence, and it has more technology and comfort features.
The engines for the Seat Ateca have also been improved to deliver better efficiency and higher levels of performance.
The three-cylinder 1.0-litre TSI unit is mated to a manual gearbox, while the 1.5-litre unit has the choice of a manual gearbox or the firm's DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission.
All Seat Atecas come with metallic paint as standard with equipment including leather steering wheel, a 12v socket, dual-zone climate control, front and parking sensors and electric parking brake with a hill-hold function.
Seat has also added driving modes to alter the car's throttle, steering and gear-shifting responses.
Drivers also get to enjoy keyless entry and autonomous emergency braking.
Other trims feature a larger touchscreen, Bluetooth audio streaming, a 3D mapping display with traffic information and others have dark tinted rear windows.
Some Seat Ateca models also feature the firm's digital cockpit which utilises a high-resolution 12-inch display, as well as aluminium pedals and ambient lighting.
The new Ateca is not only a stylish addition to the line-up, but it replaces a compact SUV that managed to carve itself a niche within a very competitive segment, and the new model is expected to do exactly the same.
So, whether you are looking to lease the Seat Ateca, or you want to buy it, this is an SUV that looks like offering value for money with excellent handling abilities and lots of comfort on board.
Green Cars’ is the term used for zero, low and ultra-low emission vehicles (ULEVs) - with pressure being applied to lower global emission levels, the need for “eco-friendly” vehicles is on the rise. Many countries now have plans in place to abolish the use of combustion engines before the turn of the century and so more and more vehicles we see on the roads will be Electric, hybrid or very low emission petrol and diesels.
Although beneficial to the environment, ‘Green Cars’ are also beneficial from a taxation view. The lower a vehicle’s emissions banding, the lower the taxation placed against it. Many manufacturers have tapped in to this ever-growing market with their own offerings, however, Volvo were the first manufacturer to state that every one of their models will be either electric or hybrid options from 2019.
